Vanessa Paul

Vanessa Paul was born and raised in Port Acres, a rural community of Port Arthur, Texas with her 13 other sisters and brothers.  After working as a successful model in Dallas, she left Texas to pursue a career in New York City.  Vanessa did her run of theater, soap operas, and modeling, gracing the pages of Glamour, Essence, and Cosmopolitan magazines.

After a few years of beating the streets of New York City, Vanessa relocated to Los Angeles. 

She is best known for her 5 year stint as Josie Martin on the ever popular and long running hit series, “Walker, Texas Ranger”.  She gained even more popularity as the tough and feisty Della Rae in the cult TV hit “A Face To Kill For”.  

Vanessa starred as Madeleine Reeves on NBC’s “American Dreams”, playing wife to veteran actor Michael Warren; Anne on “Malcolm in the Middle”; “Once and Again”, “Strong Medicine”; “Diary of a Tired Black Man”, and ‘A Mother’s Love’.

Vanessa began her journey to becoming a Producer after a 2 year stint as production coordinator and casting director at highly sought after Propaganda Films.  At Propaganda, Vanessa worked with award winning, critically acclaimed producers David Finch, Nigel Dick, Steve Golin, Sigurjon Sighvatsson, and Gregg Gold.

Vanessa coordinated the production of, and helped to cast the music videos for Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, Madonna, Michael Bolton, Fleetwood Mac, Natalie Cole, Paula Abdul, Eddie Murphy—and campaigns for Nike, Pepsi, Reebok, and others.

Vanessa currently produces and writes projects for theater, film, and TV under her own production company, Sparkling City Entertainment  Her projects include A Mother’s Love, A Hero’s Story, The Other Sister, The Piano Lesson, Jitney, and Camp Logan.  Her latest theatrical project, the wildly successful hit play SASSY MAMAS, played to sold out audiences two years in a row.

Vanessa most recently Executive Produced feature film LAST LIFE through her Sparkling City Entertainment, and has 2 more feature films slated to begin production in 2017.
